Terms of Use

These terms cover the MetalMind application for macOS: what your licence allows, how the Pro plans work, and where responsibility for model weights and model output sits.

1. Licence

MetalMind is developed and published by Martin Turek, Czech Republic, VAT ID CZ9211044084 ("the developer"). Installing or using the application means you accept these terms.

Subject to these terms and to the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions that govern the App Store, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use one copy of MetalMind for personal or business purposes, on devices you own or control, under the usage rules Apple applies to your Apple ID.

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or rent the application, nor reverse-engineer it except where that right cannot be excluded by law.

2. Pro plans

Pro unlocks the same set of additional features on every plan, for the Apple ID that bought it. It is sold in three forms: a three-month subscription, a one-year subscription, and a one-time lifetime unlock.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours beforehand, and are managed and cancelled in your App Store account settings — not by the developer. The lifetime unlock is a single payment: it does not renew and there is nothing to cancel.

Use Restore Purchases to re-activate an existing plan after a reinstall or on another Mac signed in to the same Apple ID.

3. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple, not by the developer. Request one through reportaproblem.apple.com.

4. Third-party models

MetalMind runs model weights that you choose and download. It does not distribute those weights, does not own them, and is not affiliated with the people who publish them. The licence of each model, the restrictions it places on use, and its suitability for any purpose are set by its author — read them before you rely on a model, especially for commercial work.

5. Model output

Output produced by a language model can be wrong, incomplete, or fabricated, and MetalMind does not verify it. Do not use it as medical, legal, or financial advice. The developer is not responsible for the content a model generates.

6. Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use the application, which models you run, and what you do with the local API server and the output it returns, including compliance with the laws that apply to you.

7. Warranty

The application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Mandatory statutory rights that consumers have under applicable law are not affected.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from the use of the application. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the application. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of the Czech Republic have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the country in which you live, nor of the right to bring a claim before the courts of that country.
